Patreon Producer, Vibe Check, Remote (May 2025 – Present)

  • Plan and publish weekly audio and video content for Vibe Check’s 2,300+ Patreon subscribers; created new formats that became fan favorites, like extended video versions of show episodes, behind-the-scenes clips, and voice note updates that give fans a personal connection to the hosts.

  • Create branded visual assets for socials using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite; launched a viral carousel series to recap episodes and drive new audience discovery. 

  • Track and analyze social metrics to shape editorial strategy and drive growth; contributed to a projected 30% growth in paid subscribers and a 20% increase in monthly revenue. 

  • Pitch and produce audio and video content for social media aligned with trending cultural moments, including live coverage of the 2025 Met Gala in partnership with Vogue.

  • Lead production of Patreon-exclusive live events and AMAs, overseeing logistics, filming, and promotion.

  • Act as producer and assistant producer for shows including The Sporkful, Vibe Check, Authorized, Editors’ Picks, and Chapter and Verse.

  • Pitched show topics on the Vibe Check podcast, including a conversation on fandom and parasocial relationships; Appeared on the show as a guest.

  • Assist with researching, booking, and scheduling guests for Vibe Check and The Sporkful shows. Notable personalities include Katie Nolan, Imani Perry, and Caitlin Dickerson. Responsible for creating show preps and show flow documents for live tapings.

  • Act as in-studio producer during live tapings; Use ProTools, Descript, Premiere, and Audition to edit video and audio.

  • Responsible for writing and sending out the weekly newsletter for The Sporkful; Responsible for curating thesporkful.com, uploading audio as well as episode copy and transcripts. 

  • Part of The Sporkful story-editing team working to improve and enhance the storytelling quality of scripts.

  • Produced viral social media content across shows featuring high-profile personalities like Bobby Flay, Chase Strangio, and Tommy Vietor.

  • Assist the marketing team with trendspotting and competitive analysis; conduct weekly in-depth reviews of social media landscapes/trends while monitoring audience engagement on The Sporkful and Vibe Check profiles, and developing successful audience engagement strategies for Vibe Check, including the launch of a Patreon video series called “Leave it in, Shantel,” targeted to the show’s fans.

  • Pitch and author several chapters in the Italian book M Come Moda about global fashion history.

  • Notable chapters include the ones breaking down trends related to Barbie, Gen Z, and Dandies.

  • Supervised and directed eight issues of John Cabot University’s student newspaper.

  • Responsible for the transition from print to digital during COVID-19, and for the return to print during Fall 2022.

  • Develop and implemented events and activities in collaboration with the Literature and Communications departments; Direct a wide variety of on-site and off-site events, including biweekly newsroom meetings, reporting trips to the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference and the 2022 International Journalism Festival in Perugia, film screenings, and guest lectures.

  • Collaborate with the Literature and Communications departments to promote opportunities such as the Fuller Prize, an award for OP/ED articles. Efforts included hyping the prize on social media and the opportunity for participants to publish on The Matthew if selected.
